Skip Bayless claimed the return of Kyrie Irving could derail the resurgence of the Brooklyn Nets under new head coach Jacque Vaughn.
The Brooklyn Nets suspended Kyrie Irving for five games for anti-semitic remarks as the Nets point guard had promoted a documentary film on his Twitter account.
During his suspension, the Brooklyn Nets fired head coach Steve Nash and appointed Jacque Vaughn as the new head coach. The name of Ime Udoka was also linked with the Nets but the franchise backed out of it.The Nets are looking good under Vaughn but Skip Bayless believes the return of Kyrie Irving could damage the team once again.
Talking about it, Skip Bayless said, “Kyrie is about as difficult to coach as they come. Because he says ‘I don’t need a coach.’ He is a gifted basketball player, and I do think he has high basketball IQ.”
He added, “But he doesn’t want to hear anything from his head coach. He becomes the crucial X-factor who could destroy all the feel good that has been re-built by Jacque Vaughn.”
Whether or not Kyrie Irving will play for the Nets remains to be seen but the former Cavs player would want to give his all on the court to remove the attention that is on him off the court.
