Dennis Schroder will be returning to the Los Angeles Lakers as he signed a one-year deal with the franchise.
The Los Angeles Lakers have made another interesting move in the free agency as they prepare for a big season ahead. They have signed their former point guard Dennis Schroder to a one-year, $2.64 million deal.
Schroder spent a season with the Lakers after the team won the championship, but the point guard from Germany left the team in free agency. He has now returned to a Lakers team that needs players like him who can defend as well as produce offense.
With this move, the Lakers are now loaded at the guard positions. They already have Russell Westbrook, Patrick Beverley, Austin Reaves, Kendrick Nunn, Lonnie Walker IV, and now Dennis Schroder.
According to Shams Charania of the Athletic: Free agent guard Dennis Schroder plans to sign a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Schroder is set to return to LA. Schroder is signing a one-year, $2.64 million deal to return to the Lakers, sources said.
Maybe another move for the Lakers is on the horizon, and the name of Russell Westbrook has been continuously brought up in trade rumors. The Lakers are still interested to deal Westbrook to the Pacers or the Jazz. They could get players like Myles Turner, Buddy Hield, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, or Vanderbilt in return for Westbrook, and those will be the deals that can change the season for the Lakers.
