Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James believes Scottie Pippen Jr. has all the potential to be a great player in the NBA.
Scottie Pippen Jr. the son of NBA Legend Scottie Pippen went undrafted in this year’s draft. The Los Angeles Lakers picked him up and assigned him to their summer league roster.
Scottie Pippen Jr. impressed everyone at the Summer League and was looking pretty good at the point guard position. Even LeBron James was heavily impressed by the rookie.
Recently, LeBron James commented highly about Scottie Pippen Jr. and said, “The kid has a bright future!!” The Lakers have had their troubles in the last season due to an old roster.
Heading into this season, the team has surrounded LeBron James with much younger players. It is very possible that we might see Pippen Jr. playing in the league also. With uncertainty around Russell Westbrook continuously brewing, Pippen Jr. might slot in as the point guard of the Lakers for a couple of games.
Even though the young rookies of the Lakers impressed in the summer league, there is still work left to do on their roster. The situation around Russell Westbrook is pretty uncertain.
Nobody knows whether he will be a Laker at the start of the season. The inclusion of Kyrie Irving is also up in the air, and further trade talks have also been stalled due to this. As a result, LeBron James once again will be required to carry this team on his shoulders, and hopefully, they don’t have a disappointing season this time around.
