LeBron James was spotted wearing a hoodie in support of his former coach Ty Lue, and NBA Twitter was quick to make assumptions.
Recently LeBron James was spotted wearing a hoodie to support his former head coach Ty Lue. The hoodie had these words, “Every Man falls but he is judged by what he does when he gets up.”
It symbolized how Ty Lue was able to become one of the best coaches in the NBA despite not being that good of a player during his time in the league. LeBron James has always been very vocal about Ty Lue being the best coach in basketball, and he has always shown his respect to him.
After LeBron’s video of wearing that hoodie went viral, NBA fans began making assumptions that the King might be on his way to joining the Los Angeles Clippers. Ty Lue is currently the head coach of the Clippers, and NBA fans tried to create a narrative for LeBron to join the Clippers.
LeBron James and Ty Lue had a great time together in Cleveland
LeBron James under Ty Lue as his coach in Cleveland had a great time. They went to four straight NBA Finals, and one won of them in 2016. It was arguably the greatest finals win in NBA history.
LeBron had advocated for Ty Lue to become the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, but the front office decided to go for Frank Vogel. Vogel ended up winning a championship with the Lakers, but he is no longer with the team.
Ty Lue would have been the perfect coach for this Lakers team. Currently, he is coaching the Los Angeles Clippers, and his team will be one of the favorites to win the title next season.
LeBron joining the Clippers in his career is very unlikely
Despite what the fans on Twitter think, LeBron James playing for the Los Angeles Clippers is next to impossible. He won’t leave the Los Angeles Lakers to join the Clippers, as he isn’t that kind of a person.
He knows what he has at the Lakers, and he wants to win it here again. The Lakers are active in the market and are trying their best to structure their roster to win the championship.
If they are able to add Kyrie Irving to their roster, there is no chance that LeBron James will leave the Lakers to join any other team. Even though Los Angeles Clippers have a fantastic team, and have Ty Lue as their head coach, LeBron wouldn’t join them.
The Clippers on the other hand don’t need LeBron either. They already have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, who have already shown that they are a great duo. Both of them will be back healthy next season, and the Clippers will be among the favorites to win it all.
As currently, things stand, the LA Clippers have a far better roster than the LA Lakers. As a result, LeBron James and the Lakers will need to ramp things up in the market, if they want to take down the team led by Tyronn Lue, a former Laker.
