Skip Bayless believes that LeBron James would be better without Russell Westbrook with the Los Angeles Lakers next season.
The struggles of Russell Westbrook for the Los Angeles Lakers are unknown to no one. Both parties are believed to be looking for the former MVP but have so far been unsuccessful.
Skip Bayless, a well-known sports analyst, believes that LeBron James would be better off without Russell Westbrook in the Lakers. He strongly encourages the Lakers to part ways with Russ if they want to contend next season.
He believes the Lakers should keep Dennis Shroder on their tabs in case they need him to replace Russ. Schroder was also seen having a convo with LeBron James on social media about a possible return.
Skip said, “LeBron is the shrewdest of operators and I think he sees the force for the trees here and the forest could be what if they do send Russ home what if they just release him what if you need somebody on a veteran’s minimum to fill a little bit of that role I’m I’m here to tell you right now Dennis Schroder is better than Russell Westbrook.”
Talking further about how Schroder would be better than Russ, Bayless said, “He’s pretty nifty he’s elected quick yeah he is he can do some things he’s very good in the pick-and-roll very good in the pick-and-roll so he’s he would be much more useful to LeBron a much better fit for LeBron than Russ would be so I think Lebron is making nice with him just because what if what if they need him…”
Shannon Sharpe, a close confidant of LeBron James also believes that LeBron should part ways with Russell Westbrook. He thinks it’s not going to work, and they shouldn’t waste more time.
Shannon said, “LeBron knows he cannot win a championship with Westbrook as a primary character in his movie. I believe LeBron would love for Russ to move on, I just don’t know how they make that happen.”
