After the trade of Kristaps Porzingis to the Washington Wizards, they have elevated their game to another level.
The addition of Spencer Dinwiddie has helped them, It has decreased the load on Doncic and has elevated both of their games.
In their latest match, the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Boston Celtics who have recently been one of the best teams in the league.
Luka scored 26 points and helped the Mavs to resist the tough challenge imposed by the Boston team.
Along with scoring on such high volume and efficiency, Luka’s all-around game is also of top quality. He contributed with 8 rebounds and 8 assists also while playing good defense.
Jayson Tatum managed to score just 24 points while Jaylen Brown was able to score just 14 points which was the main reason for their defeat as both their star players had a rare off-night.
The Dallas Mavericks are firmly sitting in the playoffs position and are certain to qualify for them.
This season they have to win at least the first round which they have been unable to do in the past two seasons.
This time around they are looking like they can cause serious damage in the playoffs as their defense is clicking while Luka Doncic continues to play on an MVP level.
They have also got rid of Kristaps Porzingis who quite often was injured and unavailable in big matches. Both Dinwiddie and Bertans can remain healthy and contribute to the team.
It will be exciting to see what the Dallas Mavericks achieve this season as their ceiling is a Championship.
