Dwight Howard had some words to say about the disappointing loss of the Lakers to the New Orleans Pelicans
Dwight Howard spoke to the media before the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Dallas Mavericks tonight. He was asked about the disappointing loss of the Los Angeles Lakers to the New Orleans Pelicans in their last match where they looked absolutely shattered and the Pelicans blew them out of the park.
Dwight talked to the media and said, “We should never have that body language. We should lock in and stay focused.”, reflecting that he wants this team to be giving their everything on their court in order to save their season.
The Los Angeles Lakers began as the season among the title favorites but this team has fallen off very bad, as they found themselves struggling to even make the playoffs as injuries have derailed their season and the team chemistry has never been built so far due to the unavailability of key players together.
The Lakers currently have a record of 27-33 and are the 9th seed in the west, prior to the match against the Dallas Mavericks.
A tough road ahead for the Los Angeles Lakers to qualify for the playoffs.
The Lakers face a very difficult task ahead of them to even make the playoffs. They are currently struggling at the 9th seed and will be required a huge effort to win 2 games in the play-in tournament and make it to the main playoffs where they would ideally be facing the No.1 seed in the west which will most probably be the Phoenix Suns.
Many predict the Lakers will be a first-round exit from the playoffs if they even make the playoffs in the first place. Injury to Anthony Davis who is expected to miss the rest of the regular season has made this task even tougher as the team is totally shattered and the season is most likely to be over for them.
It will be interesting to see how the Lakers perform in the rest of the regular season and try to qualify for the playoffs which will not be an easy task at all.
