76ers injury report: When will Philadelphia 76ers stars James Harden and Joel Embiid return to action for the franchise?

The Philadelphia 76ers have had an injury-riddled season to say the very least. While things looked bright for the franchise as they had James Harden return to action to play his first full season for the Sixers, Harden’s great start to the season was undone by another setback followed by more injury trouble for his teammates as the Sixers never got to establish any momentum.

At the moment, the Sixers have a whole cast of players out with injuries – including Harden, their star center and player of the season so far in Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Jaden Springer, all out with foot injuries. The loss of four key players has certainly hurt the Sixers’ momentum who currently sit in a Play-Ins spot on sixth in the Eastern Conference standings.

However, no loss has hurt them as much as the loss of Harden and Embiid – both of whom are their key players to help them to a place in the Playoffs. While Harden is out with a right foot tendon strain and has missed the last ten games for the Sixers, Embiid is currently out with a left midfoot sprain and has missed the last three games – much to the Sixers’ disappointment.

When are James Harden and Joel Embiid set to return to action?

Sixers’ head coach Doc Rivers recently gave an update about the pair’s return, and said that even though they are both on the road to recovery – there is no expected date of return as of now.

While Harden has missed ten games owing to his injury, star center Joel Embiid has also struggled with an injury of late that has made him miss the last three games. When asked about both of their expected return dates, Rivers said: “Not that I know of. I know they’re both on the floor at the practice facility doing work, but there’s no update for a return or anything like that.”

The Sixers will hope for their main men to be back as soon as possible, as they hope to bring consistency into their performances in order to qualify for the Playoffs this season.
