The Adelaide 36ers recently took a dig at the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers in a tweet they posted. The tweet said that the Adelaide 36ers are better than both the Suns and Lakers. This whole situation started earlier this month when the Adelaide 36ers beat the Suns 134-124 in a preseason game.
The NBA community was buzzing at the result and several rumours surrounding the Suns began floating around. Then on the 6th of October, the Suns beat the Lakers 119-115 in a preseason game. That led to the Adelaide 36ers posting this cheeky tweet.
In a roundabout way, it makes sense. Since the 36ers beat the Suns and the Suns beat the Lakers, the 36ers are better than both of them. It’ll be interesting to see how the Suns and Lakers start the NBA season. Both teams have had a difficult preseason and the NBA season is only days away.
Will the Suns or the Lakers finish higher in the regular season?
The Suns are going to finish higher than the Lakers in the regular season and that’s a fact. Phoenix has a better squad than the Los Angeles Lakers and their overall chemistry is better than well. Besides that, Anthony Davis has just come back from injury and will take time to settle down for the Lakers.
Truth be told, the gulf between the two teams is too much. The Lakers will most likely finish between the 6th and 10th seeds whereas the Suns will compete for the 1st seed. It’ll be interesting to see where the Suns and Lakers end up finishing at the end of the season.
