As much as Milwaukee Bucks star and NBA veteran Serge Ibaka loves to get physical on the court, you can probably tell that he could be a great MMA fighter or boxer with the right direction. While he has made it equally big in the sport of basketball, the 33-year-old hasn’t shied away from showing his love for the boxing ring, perhaps which is why he is producing a featured boxing film ‘Fight Like a Girl.
As per latest reports Serge Ibaka’s produced film has gone onto sign rising South African actress and Netflix sensation – Ama Qamata. Someone, who plethora of fans would be familiar with courtesy to her work in Blood and Water. This is being written and directed by Matthew Leutwyler.
Qamara is not the only star in this movie. The mentioned film will also feature Godzilla vs. Kong star Hakeem Kae-Kazim. Ama would be playing the role of a young Congolese woman forced to work in an illegal mineral mine. She someone manages to escape her captors and discovers a new side of life after joining all-women boxing club.

A 13-year veteran, who is currently with the 2021 champions -Milwaukee Bucks is not the only producer of this film. Serge Ibaka is being partnered by Ouenzé Entertainment company partner Jordi Vilà Sánchez as an executive producer on Fight Like a Girl.
Interestingly, Fight Like a Girl will be the company’s first narrative feature project.
“I had to go through a lot of obstacles from growing up in Congo to being an NBA Champion, and this is a story about Congo and Africa and about how sports can help overcome challenging times in our lives,” Ibaka said in a statement as quoted by Hollywood Reporter. “The story about these African women is inspiring and needs to be told.”
