The Golden State Warriors were recently crowned the NBA Champions. They had a great season, and all of their players stepped when required. With free agency ahead, the Warriors will have some decisions to make.

Andrew Wiggins, who became an all-star this year for the first time in his career will be eligible to sign a new deal with the Warriors. Even though the Warriors are over the salary cap, they would love to bring back Wiggins.

The former No. 1 pick in the draft Wiggins talked about how he feels ahead of the free agency. He said,I would love to stay here, Being here, this is top-notch. The way they treat the players … we’re all one big family. I feel like a lot of places may say that, but they show it through their actions.”

Andrew Wiggins added, There was a lot of talk, people have something to say about every little thing, but now I’m happy that I made it here. People didn’t think I could ever be in this position or even be helpful on a championship team. But I’m proving the doubters wrong and I’m going to keep it going.”

Andrew Wiggins vouches for a new contract for Jordan Poole

Another player who made a big stride this season for the Warriors was Jordan Poole. He had a magnificent season, and has put himself in the place for a new deserving deal.

Andrew Wiggins also believes that Poole deserves a new contract. Wiggins said, “He definitely deserves a new contract, Jordan is someone who works so hard, who makes his teammates better and can go out there on the court and dominate.”

Jordan Poole also talked about his contract situation. He said, “If I’m going to be completely honest, I haven’t even been able to fathom anything about that process yet. I was so locked in on the championship. Like, we know it will happen, we put ourselves in situations to be successful and everything else will take care of itself.

Hopefully, the Warriors will be able to tie these two special players for a long term and continue their dynasty. Steph, Klay, and Dray are getting old, but Wiggins and Poole are the right pieces for this team to provide that youthful energy.

The future is bright for the Golden State Warriors

Even though the golden trio of the Warriors, i.e, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are getting old, the Warriors still have a very bright future ahead.

Warriors mailbag: What are the ceilings for Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody?

This is only because of all the work done by the front office of the team, and also the coaches around the team. They have selected the right talent through the drafts. Moreover, the coaching staff of the Warriors has been able to develop them all pretty well.

They drafted Jordan Poole earlier, who has become a star for the team this season. The way he has carried the team in the absence of Klay Thompson, and also during the critical stages of the playoffs, was remarkable for a player of his age.

Last year, they drafted James Wiseman, who missed this year due to injuries. He is also a solid player who’ll play a huge role for them next season. He is their starting center for the future, Wiseman is big, athletic, and can also shoot the ball well. He is a perfect fit for this Warriors team, and everyone is aware of that.

The likes of Jonathan Kuminga, and Moses Moody also displayed their brilliance in the recently concluded season. All these four players are capable of becoming a star in the NBA, and that’s a huge positive for the reigning NBA Champions.
