Anthony Davis could potentially be just a couple of weeks away from making his return to the court for the Los Angeles lakers. With Darvin Ham’s team catching up to the pace of the current season without the 8-time All-Star, there is a chance that the Purple and Gold’s Head Coach might cause havoc with his starting lineup.
So, what could he do? With Thomas Bryant being in the form of his life, Darvin Ham can include Lebron James, Anthony Davis and the spoken-off young stud in the starting lineup, as per Jovan Buha of the Athletic.
“Absolutely. I mean, the way AD is able to function out on the perimeter, we don’t want him to be too far on that side. We want him to have a happy balance. But definitely. They’re all very highly skilled players — Bron, AD, Thomas. All of them can score at all three levels. They can defend. They all can have good activity, and good instincts. So, yeah, that’s something we’ll definitely take a look at.”
How can Darvin Ham use Anthony Davis amid injury woes?
We are all aware that Anthony Davis is injury prone, and there is no surprise that Darvin Ham would not likely burst him out since the time of his return. Furthermore, young stars like Thomas Bryant, Wenyen Gabriel, and Max Christie have already proved their worth. They could potentially give AD the required time off at regular intervals.
One cannot help but ignore that the Los Angeles Lakers were expectedly bad during the early portions of Davis’ absence, losing four of five, but with Bryant starting to become a much more potent weapon, Los Angeles has managed to win five of its last six outings.
