However, the leadership and dominance of Anthony Edwards were only going to start headlining his team. Even though the latter star is aware of his chances of potentially being snubbed in the 2023 All Star voting yet he is leaving no stone unturned in leading his side past the victory line.
In the latest matchup for the Wolves, the 22-year-old shooting guard caused havoc against an injury-riddled Phoenix Suns by dropping 31 points. To be precise, Anthony Edwards is averaging 23.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.3 assists a night through 43 games. This has even more significance when one comes to know that Rudy Gobert has found it difficult to score at a consistent rate for his new side in the 2022-23 season.
Talking about the 2023 All Star voting, Anthony Edwards, who is single handedly leading the Minnesota Timberwolves wasn’t even in the Top 10 Western Conference guards. Regardless of this, Anthony has set his sights on a larger goal this time around.

“I feel like I’m an All-Star. But I guess a lot of people don’t so that’s cool. I ain’t trippin, man,” Edwards told reporters, per Sneaker Reporter via ClutchPoints Twitter. “I just want to get to the playoffs; I don’t really care… As long as we get there, that’s all I care about.”
That being said, while this is pretty amazing from Edwards, one needs to at least keep him 2023 All Star game reserves. Where Edwards will be competing against the likes of Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Damian Lillard, Devin Booker, and De’Aaron Fox, among others, to fill in the Western Conference reserve corps.
