LA Clippers fondly remember Assane Drame after death of video assistant

LA Clippers mourned the death of their employee Assane Drame

LA Clippers’ employee Assane Drame tragically passed away in a road accident on the 27th of September. He was just 26. He was initially reported as missing.

Drame was a part of the LA Clippers’ digital content team, and was working as a video assistant.

Hired as a video intern initially, Drame moved to Los Angeles in October 2019, and was later promoted to the role of a video assistant.

Most of his works were highlight compilations, team/player vignettes, & recap videos on community events of the Clippers team, published on social media.

The LA Clippers were saddened by the loss of young Drame and released a statement on the same, mourning his loss.

The statement read:

“He was a hard worker and a gentle soul, passionate about his craft and kind to his colleagues, earning the respect and admiration of players, coaches and staff.”

Drame was widely hailed for his work ethic and jovial character.

Assane Drame was born in the Bronx, New York. Raised in Lindenwold, New Jersey, Drame took interest in the world of digital media.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Radio, Television and Film from Rowan University.

Before being hired by the Clippers, Drame worked for NBC Network as a Digital Media Intern and for WHYY as a TV Production Intern.

Dame also contributed to the popular site Fansided, predominantly writing opinion pieces for Valley of the Suns.
