The Atlanta Hawks are vigorously pursuing Dejounte Murray. They are looking to package John Collins in a trade that will see the San Antonio Spurs point guard moving to play alongside Trae Young.

The interest in Murray is imminent, and a backcourt of Trae Young and him would be pretty fascinating. Even though this deal will not improve the Hawks much, including a player like Dejounte Murray will always be good.

The Spurs PG was named an all-star last season and had the best career of his season. The most surprising part about this trade is the availability of Dejounte Murray, as the Spurs should not be looking to move their best player.

It seems very likely that John Collin’s tenure with the Atlanta Hawks will be ending pretty soon. Collins was their second-highest scorer last, only behind Trae Young.

On his five-year, $125M contract with the Atlanta Hawks, John Collins still has four years remaining. He has been a crucial part of their team since he was drafted, and why the Hawks are looking to part ways with him remains unanswered. Many teams will be interested in acquiring him, and we’ll know where his next destination will be sooner than later.
