Bill Walton was a former NBA player but he has recently turned into an NBA Analyst. He has voiced out his appreciation for Lebron James in an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show.
The 2-time NBA Champion said that he was indeed amazed by the longevity of Lebron James’ professional career. He has been in the league for 20 years and Bron is not someone who is looking to slow down his pace. Walton was impressed as even at the age of 38, Lebron doesn’t think twice before attacking the paint and facing younger and faster players than him.
“One of the things that blows me away about LeBron is he is 38 and he is still the most active guy in the game. He is running so fast, attacking the rim and throwing it down and he shoots jumpers,” said Walton.
Although the Lakers seem out of spirits in the 2022-23 NBA season. Lebron James has tried to carry the team forward on his own account. He has been averaging 30.2 points per game with 8.5 rebounds and 7.1 assists. Whereas the Lakers are down to the 13th spot in the Western Conference.
Bill Walton says LeBron James can do anything and everything on court
LeBron is known to adapt to the role his team wants him to play. NBA Analyst Bill added, “When I watch LeBron, I can never figure out what the best part of his game is. In any particular game, he can be the BEST shooter, passer, dribbler, rebounder, defender, shot blocker, screener, he does everything, & he is still doing it better than everyone else,”
James is only 117 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the all-time scoring leader board. NBA fans cannot seem to wait for the Kings to become the greatest scorer in the history of the league.
LeBron James’ appreciation put into words by Bill Walton is much deserved as he still holds the power to be the best on court. James has recently tied the all-time record of most All-Star appearances. Alongside Lebron, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been chosen to lead this years All-Star game.
