The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat in game 7 at their own home court, and have progressed to the NBA Finals.
The Boston Celtics won the Eastern Conference Championship after they defeated the Miami Heat in game 7 of their ongoing series by a score of 100-96. This was a highly competitive game, but the Celtics edged it out in front of Miami’s supporters.
Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart were sensational for the Celtics. Brown scored 24 points, along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists. On the other hand, Marcus Smart contributed with 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Marcus the ‘DPOY’ had a great night defensively as well, and he played a huge part in the win for his team.
Jayson Tatum once again was sensational for the Celtics and he ended up scoring 26 points with 10 rebounds and 6 assists. He was crowned as the Eastern Conference Finals MVP for his great performance throughout the series.
The Boston Celtics will now face the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, which promises to be a very fascinating series between the two best teams in the NBA.
Jimmy Butler’s impressive postseason run finally ended by the Boston Celtics
Jimmy Butler had one of the best postseason run in the history of the game. The way he transcended his game to the next level in the playoffs was quite remarkable.
However, it finally got ended in game 7 of the ECF but Jimmy was sensational once again. He dropped a game-high 35 points in game 7 and had 9 rebounds as well. Despite his valiant effort, his team wasn’t able to get over the hump.
The Miami Heat will bring in reinforcements in the offseason to help Jimmy, as they have shown that they can win the championship with Jimmy as their best player if the pieces around him also perform.
