Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai made his stance clear after a recent report emerged about the future of Kevin Durant with the team.
When he handed the trade request to the Brooklyn Nets last month, Kevin Durant stunned the entire world. Due to the absurd demands of the Nets, no team has been able to acquire him up to this point.
A new report has emerged where KD has made it clear that the Nets need to choose between him or head coach Steve Nash and GM Sean Marks.
In the report, Shams Charania of The Athletic said, “In a meeting with Nets owner Joe Tsai, Kevin Durant reiterated his trade request and informed Tsai that Tsai needs to choose between Durant or the pairing of general manager Sean Marks and coach Steve Nash, sources say.”
After it, Nets owner Joe Tsai responded with his own statement. He claimed that he will have the back of his front office and coaching staff. Tsai further claimed he will do what is best for the franchise.
Joe Tsai said, “Our front office and coaching staff have my support. We will make decisions in the best interest of the Brooklyn Nets.”
After listening to what Tsai said, the exit of Durant and Kyrie Irving seems inevitable. Currently, the Boston Celtics, the Miami Heat, and the Toronto Raptors are favorites to land Kevin Durant. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Nets.
