Charles Barkley reveals true feelings when ‘best friend’ Tiger Woods ended their friendship

Published by

Charles Barkley was one of the most noticeable players in the late 90s. Having even won the MVP accolade, he is arguably the most celebrated veteran to have never won the championship. While the NBA on TNT host has earned himself a fortune by playing in the NBA, there is one other sport which he simply adores – Golf.

Prior to the beginning of the 2022-23 season, Barkley was even expected to join LIV Golf for a mammoth deal, but fortunately for the basketball fans the deal didn’t pan out well. Many have deemed Charles Barkley as the ‘worst’ golfer as he is known to make some of the scariest of shots, which can at times even harm the other personnel present on the field. Jokes apart, the former Phoenix Suns player was close friends with golfing legend Tiger Woods.

Having such a strong fascination for the same sport, it was only obvious that Charles looked up to the game Tiger Woods. These two were rumored to be pretty close until they parted ways without any major fuss.

Charles Barkley was shocked how Tiger Woods ended their friendship

In an old interview, the NBA on TNT host revealed his surprised reaction whilst discussing how and when Tiger Woods decided to end their friendship.

Barkley said, “I could understand if he was trying to get back with his wife at the time and she said, ‘Hey, get rid of all your old friends,’ and he called and said, ‘This is the situation.’
