“He has the ability to be a superstar” : J.B Bickerstaff On Evan’s Performances
With finishing as the 2nd best rookie, Mobley sure made his name into the eyes of J.B Bickerstaff, head coach of the Cleveland’s side. J.B mentioned that Evan is ready to take another step in development, with him adding muscles during the pre-season, working on his perimeter game, and adding 3 pointer in his games which could be a big asset for the business.
At media day Bickerstaff said “”He has the ability to be a superstar without being the leading scorer on your team,”He has an opportunity to be the best player on the floor without having to take the most shots. That’s hard to find.”
He also added “We want him eventually — and hopefully it’s this year — to be in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year. We believe he has that type of ability and can have that type of impact on the floor.”
Mobley is set to miss three pre-seasons game and the Cleveland’s side would now be hoping if he could be available at the start of the season.
