Utah Jazz guard Colin Sexton lived up to his ‘Young Bull’ nickname in the season opener against the Denver Nuggets. During the 4th quarter, Sexton scraped the floor with his foot before driving past Nikola Jokic for the layup. This play was just one highlight from Sexton’s fantastic game.
Colin Sexton showed out in his season opener, dropping 20 points, 2 assists and 5 rebounds in just 21 minutes. Sexton led the Jazz to an unlikely win over the Denver Nuggets.
Sexton was involved in the trade that sent Donovan Mitchell to Cleveland and has a lot to prove this year. The 23-year-old guard was set to be a rather big part of the Cleveland Cavalier’s future before tearing his meniscus last year. Sexton suffered the injury just 11 games into the 2021-22 NBA season and was forced to miss the rest of it to recover.
The Utah Jazz is looking to keep Sexton for now with the potential to build around him. In addition to this, they may also look to build Sexton’s value and trade him in the near future.
