Damian Lillard explains why he is keeping shoes reasonably priced at $95

Damian Lillard has explained why he is keeping his shoes reasonably priced at only $95.

The NBA is full of superstars who have also ventured into entrepreneurship in the form of selling their very own sneaker lines. While it is the LeBrons and the Durants and the Hardens that make an incredible amount of money purely off the sales of their shoes, it also has to do with the fact that all the aforementioned brands charge an insane amount of money from the customers.

While the latest LeBron shoes cost $399.99, the latest Durant and Harden shoes are priced at about $300.00 and $200.00 respectively. However, not all basketball superstars sell overpriced shoes – and Damian Lillard is one of the few NBA stars to sell his shoes at a reasonable rate.

The Portland Trail Blazers star who is also a six-time All-Star and All-NBA selection, has become one of the few basketball stars to sell their sneaker line at a very reasonable price. Lillard – now an NBA veteran nicknamed “Dame Time” by his fans – has become the latest NBA superstar to launch his sneaker line in association with Nike titled “Dame Certified.”

What did Damian Lillard have to say about his shoes?

In order to announce his new sneaker line, Lillard took to his official Twitter account to post about his new shoes and explained why they are reasonably priced.

Writing on his official Twitter account, the Portland Trail Blazers star wrote: “It’s always been my goal to keep my shoes reasonably priced. To stay in line with those values, I’m launching my #DameCertified line with @adidas. The Certified is a $95 signature shoe that I’ll be wearing on court this year in addition to the #Dame8.”
