During the blowout, Damian Lillard threatens Pat Beverley, saying, “I’ll beat Your A**”

In order to go ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers in the standings, the Los Angeles Lakers wanted to defeat them tonight. After a dominant first quarter, they appeared to be headed in that direction, but a confrontation between Patrick Beverley and Damian Lillard completely altered the course of the game in the favor of one team.
After the Blazers seized a two-point lead, Beverley and Lillard got into a fight, which resulted in PatBev receiving a technical foul. Damian Lillard quietly told the infamous pest that he would kick his a** while looking at him out of caution. After this point, the Blazers would go on a 30-8 run, outscoring the Lakers by 32 points in the second quarter.
This season, Beverley has done the Lakers far more harm than good. Though supporters are concerned that the Lakers would spend another season without making any offseason moves in order to miss the playoffs because of Darvin Ham’s cryptic comments on the trade market, it is ideal for LA to deal him at the trade deadline.
PatBev does provide energy to the bench, which may be needed considering that the Lakers have consistently displayed a strong will to win this season. Beverley, though, is simply insufficient. The Lakers have consistently lost games as a result of his offensive shortcomings and decidedly subpar defensive influence, like the time they blew a significant lead against the Boston Celtics.
The Lakers’ prospects of winning this game were severely harmed by the technical foul that changed the game’s flow. His $15 million must be traded for a better player, but the Lakers’ reluctance to part with draft selections makes it unlikely that he will be.
