Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham shares a concerning update after LeBron James suffered an injury in their latest loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Los Angeles Lakers’ season keeps going from bad to worse. After starting the season on a disastrous 0-5 streak, the Lakers thought that they had turned their fortunes around with a couple of wins on the bounce but three consecutive defeats after that did no good to their morale. A fourth defeat on the trot followed as they lost to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.
The Los Angeles Clippers emerged 114-101 winners over the Lakers at their latest outing at the Crypto.com Arena, piling further misery on the Lakers’ already troubled season. Just as the Lakers thought it could not get any worse after they currently stand on a 2-8 streak as of now, it turns out that LeBron James has been dealt a blow while in action against the Clippers.
LeBron missed the Lakers’ game against the Utah Jazz owing to illness, and his return to the court against the Clippers saw him rack up a game-high 30 points. However, it was not enough to win the game, and the Lakers’ fortunes took another downturn when James went off after appearing to have injured his leg – and Darvin Ham only confirmed the fears after the game.
What did Darwin Ham have to say about LeBron James’ injury?
The Los Angeles Lakers head coach confirmed the worst fears of Lakers’ supporters around the world as he confirmed that LeBron suffered an injury.
It was Mallika Andrews of ESPN who confirmed the concerning news in no time, as the journalist revealed the Lakers’ statement saying LeBron James has left the court due to soreness in his left leg and will not return to action tonight. Speaking to the press following the game, Ham confirmed that the veteran had been dealt with a blow.
While he did confirm that LeBron suffered an injury, the extent of it is still unknown – Ham went on to say that the team will not know the severity of LeBron James’ injury until he is seen by the Lakers doctors tomorrow as a possible MRI scan is made to gain clarity.
