Devin Booker came up big against Denver Nuggets
Devin Booker who has been the best scorer on the best team in the NBA hasn’t had his name in the MVP talks which is very surprising and recently many other players have put up his name for the MVP convo.
Despite all the noise around him, Devin Booker continued to shine on the court as he dropped 49 points in the win for the Phoenix Suns against the Denver Nuggets to further push his name in the MVP narrative.
Booker had a really phenomenal game against Nikola Jokic who is the current front runner for the MVP award as he shot 16/25 from the field while also knocking down 2 three-points in a game which was very high scoring as the Suns won by the score of 140-130.
Nikola Jokic who is the frontrunner of the MVP award had a great game as well as he scored 28 points where he shot 9/10 from the field which is a remarkable achievement.
There is no denying the fact that Jokic should be the frontrunner for the MVP award as he has carried his team throughout the playoffs without his two co-stars in Jamal Murray and Micheal Porter Jr but Devin Booker’s name should also be in the mix as he has been the best player on the best team in the NBA for which players usually get the MVP award.
Phoenix Suns clinch 1st seed in the Western Conference
After the win against the Denver Nuggets, the Phoenix Suns have clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with 8 games left in their regular season.
The Suns’ record is currently 60-14, which is the best in the league as they get themselves ready for the playoffs as they hope to make another Championship push this season.
Phoenix Suns will likely be facing the Clippers, Lakers or Pelicans in the first round which will be a good matchup for them to start their playoff run at home.
