Things went bad to worse when Killian Hayes took matter in his own hand by punching Moe Wagner in the back of his head during Detroit Pistons vs Orlando Magic’s latest showdown. What’s worse? It seemed like the Magic star was knocked out for a moment as he laid completely flat-out on the home team’s bench after the contact.
The incident unravelled late in the second quarter when Moe Wagner and Killian Hayes ran towards the backcourt chasing a loose ball. While Hayes was approaching seconds earlier, Wagner seemed to have shoved him purposely on the Pistons’ bench and couldn’t even control his own momentum as he crashed into other Detroit Pistons players.
Just as Wagner got into a verbal altercation with several Pistons star, Killian Hayes was ready to have none of this. The latter made his way towards Wagner, who had him back towards the court and brutally knuckle punched him, in the back of his head.
Did Killian Hayes knock out Moe Wagner?
This is just when the entire set of Magic players charged towards Killian and the rest of Magic players. At that time Wagner seemed to be lying low on the Pistons bench. However, another angle showed how he did not move at all for several seconds before gathering himself up and out of the ugly huddle, to get some fresh air.
That being said, after a lengthy official review, Wagner, Diallo, and Hayes were all ejected from the game. Wagner was given a flagrant 2, while Diallo and Hayes were each assessed two technical fouls. Safe today Moe Wagner’s shove was bad, but Hayes simply cannot retaliate in the manner he just did.
Hopefully, there is an incoming suspension on the cards, just to make others realize of what how things are to be handled.
