Turkish forward of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cedi Osman had a minor injury scare on Sunday night against the Detroit Pistons. But most interestingly, Osman had a lot of people freaked out with something which is very unusual.
In the fourth quarter against the Pistons, Osman took a heavy hit to the face. Generally, when you get hit like that, you are expected to bleed heavily. Frankly, a nosebleed is quite natural when you get hit in the face.
But there was a major issue with Osman’s minor injury. Osman started bleeding from the nose due to the impact of the injury but to everybody’s surprise, the blood was not red. Whatever was dripping from the nose, it was not red!

The situation naturally invoked confusion and social media users quickly reacted to the unusualness. Fans wanted answers.
NBA Twitter had quite the fun with Cedi’s situation. Some even stated that Cedi might be an alien or a “lizard person” as his blood is yellow. Others worried for Osman’s health, pointing out that the color could arise from a potential brain injury.
However, 27-year-old Osman soon returned to the game against Pistons at Little Ceasars Arena after getting medically cleared in the locker room.
So, what is the explanation for bleeding yellow?
According to medical professionals, the yellow liquid has the simple explanation of it being mucus. It’s mucus, even though it is weirdly runny.
The Cavaliers, however, have not revealed what was dripping from Cedi Osman’s nose.
Cleveland Cavaliers overcomes the Detroit Pistons challenge
On Sunday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons 102 – 84. With this win, the Cavs now stand third in the Eastern Conference.
On the other hand, the Detroit Pistons have a record of (5-17) and stand 14th in the Eastern Conference.
It was Cavaliers’ road game against Detroit and they fared well against the challenge. Cavs superstar, Donovan Mitchell scored 32 points while Evan Mobley scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Darius Garland scored 19 points, dished 10 assists, and grabbed 10 rebounds.
