LeBron James and Shaq are too of the greatest ever players to have played for the Los Angeles Lakers and even in the NBA. Plenty of times fans have witnessed these two legends pouring out love for one another. This is not because of their respective style or careers in the NBA but the fact they have shared the court together for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
When did Shaq and LeBron James play together? They played together in 2010 for the Cavs. Moreover, both these stars were facing contrary trajectories, Bron was becoming the face of the league whereas Shaq was on his last foot and just one-year away from hanging his boots for good, as a 4-time NBA Champion.
Furthermore, during their time together, LeBron James had just won his first-ever MVP accolade in the previous season and was dying to lead his Cleveland Cavaliers deep into the playoffs. This is just why Cavs signed Shaq base don his expertise and form in and around the paint area and rim.
Were Shaq and LeBron James a successful duo?
If both these concerned players, played together at their peaks – there would’ve been terror on each and everyone’s face. But sadly, a fast-paced LeBron along with a diminishing Shaq was never going to work in a fruitful manner.
That being said, while LeBron James is still competing hard to lead his team back into the playoffs race, Shaq is enjoying his time off-the court with the NBA on TNT crew.
