Dillon Brooks was in no mood to let go off Klay Thompson or the game referees easily. During the Grizzlies vs Warriors Christmas Day encounter, the former NBA player not only witnessed his team losing but even saw him getting humiliated by 32-year-old splash brother as he laid low on the floor.
Even while Stephen Curry was out, Warriors were not even in the Play-In Tournament berths yet came out victorious against the top side of the Western Conference side. However, refereeing was one aspect which was widely criticized by many as they were no consistency. And this is just where Dillion Brooks to didn’t hold back his feelings.
Brooks said on Klay Thompson taunting him, “Refs let it happen. He was doing it all game then they want to catch the bad guy. That’s wack to me. F-cking up calls and putting the wrong guys at the free-throw line. It was a circus. Should have had different refs.”
Dillon Brooks, Grizzlies underestimated Klay Thompson, Warriors
The defending champions have been one of the worst on-road teams, and without Stephen Curry, they haven’t been able secure tight home games as well. That being said, Dillon Brooks frustrated comments on the refs will surely be looked upon by the NBA.
On one hand where Grizzlies suffered their 12th loss of the season, Warriors just won their 16th. While Dillon Brooks only supported Ja Morant by scoring 13 points, Klay Thompson dropped 24 points for the home team.
That being said, the Memphis Grizzlies are 9-9 against the West after this mentioned loss on Christmas Day, which would be good for the 9th-best record in Conference play in the West in the 2022-23 campaign.
