Donovan Mitchell became just another NBA player who sent out warm and concerning prayers to Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who collapsed in Monday Night Football’s showdown between the Bills and Bengals.
After going feral on the Chicago Bulls with a dynamite performance of 71 points, tying the eighth-highest individual score tally in NBA history. Mitchell sent out wishes to Damar Hamlin.
As per Danny Cunningham, “Donovan Mitchell closes his presser after his 71-point game with prayers up for Damar Hamlin from him and the entire Cavaliers organization.”
Donovan Mitchell sends support to Damar Hamlin
To close out his press conference after the historic outing of 71 points and 11 assists against the Chicago Bulls, Mitchell, who is a native of Elmsford, N.Y., sent prayers to Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin from him and the entire Cavaliers organization, stating how they are concerned about him and his well-being.
That being said, while the NFL Commissioner suspended the Bengals vs. Bills showdown to a later date, Donovan Mitchell thumped the morale of the Chicago Bulls almost single-handedly with his individual brilliance on Monday.
26-year-old Donovan Mitchell also became just the seventh NBA player ever to go for 71 or more (with Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, David Thompson, Elgin Baylor and David Robinson).
