Reputed social media influencer Dude With Sign came up with a perfect sign as Luka Doncic outduelled Stephen Curry in Dallas Mavericks’ win over the Golden State Warriors.
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Golden State Warriors in their latest meeting on Tuesday night. The home side defeated the visitors by a 116-113 margin at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Tuesday, as it was the Mavs main man Luka Doncic who came up trump with an incredible 40-point triple-double that inspired the struggling Mavericks to an important win.
Luka Doncic has been in incredible form ever since the start of the season, as he has single-handedly dragged the Mavericks to a number of wins this season. Despite the lack of support around him, Doncic keeps pushing his team to another level and he did so yet again when he came up with a 40-point triple-double to help the Mavericks beat the Golden State Warriors.
Doncic was nearly unplayable on the night as he racked up 41 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists in the 39 minutes he played. The Slovenian forward also completed 14 of his 27 field goals at a success rate of 52% which helped the Mavs to the win over Steph Curry who has been in quite incredible form this season – however, the outcome was already on the cards (excuse the pun).
How was the outcome already “on the cards”?
It turns out that social media influencer Dude With Sign was in attendance at the game at the American Airlines Center, holding up a card that predicted the outcome.
After the Mavericks recorded the win over the Warriors, a social media post by the Mavericks handle showed how the outcome of the game was already on the cards. On a post captioned as “Our friend @dudewithsign stopped by with a message. All love though🤞 #MFFL”, Dude With Sign was seen holding up a sign that kept its message short and simple – “Luka > Steph.”
The sign came true in extraordinary fashion as Doncic’s 41-point haul overshadowed Curry who scored 32 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists – but could not do enough to secure the win.
