The Golden State Warriors won the first game of the WCF against the Mavs quite comprehensively.
The Warriors took out the Dallas Mavericks in game 1 of the Western Conference Finals in a dominant manner. They defeated the Mavs by a score of 112-87 and outscored them 58-42 in the 2nd half of the game.
Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors once again as he dropped a game-high 21 points. All the starters of GSW had double-digit scoring games, and collectively they were able to take out the Mavs.
With this win, the Warriors are 1-0 up in the series, and they will hope to win the 2nd game as well to keep their home court intact. The team from Bay Area is a heavy favorite to win it all this year, and in the 1st game, they showed the reason they are the favorites.
Luka Doncic struggled against the Warriors in Game 1
Luka Doncic has been phenomenal in the playoffs throughout his career but he wasn’t at his best during this game. Even though Luka scored 20 points, it was very low as compared to his other playoff performances. Other Mavs players also weren’t good and they will hope to bounce back quickly.
The Mavs will hope to win the second game of the series at the home court of the Warriors, and it will put them in the driving seat for the rest of the series. However, it won’t be an easy task because GSW has been playing quite well, and the Mavs have no answer for their explosive offense.
