Kevin Durant is unhappy with the overall ratings of him in NBA 2k23 and fans are trolling him for his tweet requesting better ratings.
Recently, NBA 2k released the latest player ratings for NBA 2K23 before the game release as it is all set to release on September 9.
2K ratings have always been the point of discussion in the NBA as the video game includes crazy involvement from fans and players.
For NBA 2K23, Kevin Durant received a rating of 96, placing him among the top players. Kevin Durant is given the second highest rating along with other NBA superstars like LeBron James and Steph Curry.
The only player that is ranked higher than him is Giannis Antetokounmpo with an overall rating of 97. But the Brooklyn Nets star is not satisfied with the ratings and asked for the best possible ratings for him in the video game.
Kevin tweeted, “Aye @Ronnie2K I’m gonna need an explanation on why I’m not a 99? This has become laughable.” This tweet also got a reply from Ronnie 2K, who wrote, “I am petitioning for us to remove MJ on the cover and replacing with you the real 99.”
Kevin’s last season and his ratings
The fact that Durant missed 64 games over the following two seasons and the whole 2019–20 season due to an Achilles injury won’t help his durability rating in NBA 2K anyway.
In 2021–22, Durant had a fantastic regular season, averaging 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 games. The 33-year-old, however, didn’t perform to his typical level in the postseason where he shot only 38.6 per cent from the field resulting in the first-round exit for the Nets.

Kevin Durant got trolled badly after his request for an overall 99 rating in 2k. Fans leave nobody behind and his tweet attracted the trolls as he could not be able to accomplish anything after he left Steph and the Warriors.
Giving a reply to Kevin’s tweet, one Twitter user wrote, “because u need super teams”, while another wrote,” You’re not a top 4 player in the NBA”.
