George Karl has had a great share of experience in the NBA to make claims on the GOAT debate. The veteran coach urged how Michael Jordan would drop 40 points per game in the modern era as it looks like an ordinary affair in the league today to do so. Moreover, the concerned veteran made a huge remark about LeBron James as well, on a recent occasion.
For those of you who are not aware – George Karl coached Michael Jordan but team against his Chicago Bulls in the late 90s when the Eastern Conference side was the undisputed giants in the NBA. Moreover, Karl was also in the NBA at the time when LeBron James was with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.
To start off Karl said on Jordan’s scoring, as mentioned by ClutchPoints, “Anyone who is debating Michael’s GOAT status doesn’t realize he would average a 40 PPG triple-double in the modern game!”
George Karl’s greatest stint in the NBA was when he led the Seattle Supersonics to the NBA Finals in an unprecedented manner in 1996.
That being said, everyone has their own opinion on the GOAT debate and George Karl is no different. But it is safe to state that the Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James GOAT debate is going to carry on for centuries, even more so, will increase when the Los Angeles Lakers superstar hangs his boots.
