Giannis Antetokounmpo recently talked about all things he wanted to emulate from the legendary career of LeBron James.
LeBron James is arguably the greatest player to ever play the game. The accolades that he has collected over his long career are massive, and he is nowhere close to being done yet.
Another player who is heading toward a legendary career is Giannis Antetokounmpo. At his young age, he has already won every accolade that was there to win, and his peak years are ahead of him.
Giannis recently talked about the things that he would like to copy from the legendary career of LeBron James. Giannis knows that LeBron had been the best player in the league for a prolonged period, and that wasn’t easy to do.
Talking about it, Giannis said, “It’s interesting to me how LeBron is still one of the best shapes in his life and being the best player in the world and still being in year 18,”
He added, “Like, that’s really interesting. I want to know how he does that. He’s been consistent for 18 years. He’s always there. He’s always showing up. That’s unbelievable.”
Last season, LeBron James was close to winning the scoring title. It was a great season for him personally, and it showed that he isn’t slowing down any time soon. It is why Giannis believes that LeBron deserves more credit for his success.
Giannis said, “He obviously gets credit, but I think we’ve got to give him more credit. Doing it for 18 years guys, that’s hard. And hopefully, hopefully I can be there. Hopefully I can do this for 18 years, 20 years. That’s the goal.”
He added, “You gotta spend 1.5 million dollars on your body? I don’t know if I can do that. I’m too cheap for that. No, I’m joking. It’s crazy to me, man. He’s been so consistent. It’s fun to watch. It’s definitely fun to watch.”
