Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped 44 points and helped the Milwaukee Bucks to win a big game against the Brooklyn Nets
Giannis Antetokounmpo is among the frontrunners to win the MVP award this season and once again he showed how great of a player he really is, as he led the way for his team to a big win over the Brooklyn Nets.
The Milwaukee Bucks won the game which went into overtime by a score of 120-119, in which Giannis scored 44 points while recording 14 rebounds and 6 assists as well, which paved the way for their crucial win against a potential playoff opponent.
Giannis hit a game-tying step-back three to force the overtime which was the major highlight of the game as it showed how much development he has had in his game because earlier in his career he was considered as a liability from the perimeter, but he stepped up and led his team in a way that only a few could lead.
This win will certainly strengthen the claim of Giannis Antetokounmpo in the race for the MVP awards as he currently sits alongside Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic in the pecking order for the award.
Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving again fell short against the Bucks
Even though both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant had decent games, they once again were not able to get past Giannis and the Bucks which has been the case quite often recently.
Kyrie scored 25 points and KD scored 26 points but still, it was not enough to contain Giannis and co. who were missing their closer in Khris Middleton during crunch time as he was ejected earlier in the game.
The Brooklyn Nets need to fix up a few things very quickly because the playoffs are right upon us and they might not even make it to the playoffs if things go the way they are going at the present.
