Giannis Antetokounmpo is widely regarded as one of the best players in the game of basketball right now, but as it turns out, the Greek Freak could be a brilliant soccer player as well.
It turns out that not only is Antetokounmpo a brilliant basketball player but he could do a good job with a soccer ball as well.
The Milwaukee Bucks superstar showed one of his hidden talents recently when he visited the Estadio Giuseppe Meazza – more commonly known as the San Siro – for a UEFA Champions League game featuring Inter Milan against Bayern Munich.
Antetokounmpo was in Milan for a EuroBasket 2022 as he has been on national duty over the past month of so, and being the soccer fan he is – he couldn’t turn down the opportunity of going to visit one of the most fabled stadiums in the sport to watch a top tier European soccer game.
So when he took to the hallowed turf of the Milan stadium, Antetokounmpo said he just had to see his first ever Champions League game – and also added that he would be a soccer player if he could not be a basketball player.
Not only that, the Greek Freak also showed off his ability with the soccer ball – and it would not be an exaggeration to say that he did show a fair few bit of tricks and some.
What did the Greek Freak do with the soccer ball?
Antetokounmpo showed his ability on the soccer ball which stunned many of his fans online.
Giannis took part in a keepy uppy drill with his friends on the pitch following the game where Bayern defeated the hosts; and it honestly felt like he would fit right into a soccer game.
The Greek international’s touches on the soccer ball felt way too natural for an athlete from another sport as he effortlessly kept the ball in the air – but he truly stunned the online NBA community when he pulled off a no-look flick that most professional footballers would be proud of.
