Giannis Antetokounmpo is “back-with-a-bang”, slams injury with a 55-point night

The Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo, wants to create a habit of scoring so that the fans know at the beginning of his game, that Giannis is going for at-least 40.

Giannis missed out on the last game for the Milwaukee Bucks due to a sore left knee. However, he returned shunning all concerns towards the soreness. Milwaukee won the game 123-113 against the Washington Wizards. Giannis put 55 points on the board with 10 rebounds and 7 assists, this was his third consecutive game with 40 plus points and at least, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

“I want to get in a position … that my game is boring,” Giannis Antetokounmpo elaborated after his spectacular performance. “I just do what I do and people don’t talk about it because it becomes boring — I do it every single night. That’s what I want to do.

“I want other people to feel like my game is boring. But I don’t get bored. The greats — the best players — never get bored. They go out there and they always give their best any given night,” added the Greek Freak.

Giannis 55-point performance against the Washington Wizard bagged him a spot amongst the only three players. These have had three straight performances of 40 points, 10 rebounds and five assists are Elgin Baylor in 1961 and 1963, Wilt Chamberlain in 1963 and Russell Westbrook in 2016.

Other than that, Giannis is now one of the only three players scoring at least 40-points in three straight games wearing a Bucks jersey. Flynn Robinson in February 1969 and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in February 1972.

“He’s been kind of playing with this kind of determination, this kind of just willing us in games,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “Tonight, we were able to win it. He’s just been phenomenal.”
