With respect to the franchise history of Golden State Warriors, Curry now stands as the second-most player in the list of All-Star selections. Only Paul Arizin has 10 All-Star selections, one more than Steph. Other than that, Curry has also started all the All-Star games he was selected in. That makes him the player to have the most starts in the All-Star game, in franchise history.
The Warriors PR tweeted their contentment after his selection in the 2023 All-Star game. They said, “Four-time NBA Champion and two-time Most Valuable Player Stephen Cury has been named a starter in the 72nd NBA All-Star Game, the league announced today.”
“Curry will make his ninth All-Star Game start, the most in franchise history, and trails only Paul Arizin (10 appearances) for most All-Star selections in Warrior’s history.”
The PR team added, “Curry has taken part in NBA All-Star Weekend festivities in 10 of his previous 11 campaigns. averaging 22.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.38 steals and 28.2 minutes in his eight appearances in the All-Star Game (2014-19, 2021-22).”
Stephen Curry is also the defending MVP of the All-Star game.
