The Golden State Warriors will face the Denver Nuggets on 16th April 2022, in what will be the 1st game of the series between them in the 1st round of the NBA Playoffs 2022.
The Warriors have championship aspirations, and their ambitions depend on the availability of Stephen Curry who is yet not declared fully fit to play in the 1st game of this series.
Denver Nuggets on the other hand are also facing major injury issues, as both Jamal Murray and Porter Jr. have been declared out from the playoffs, as they have not recovered yet from their injuries.
Warriors:
PLAYER | POSITION | UPDATED | INJURY | INJURY STATUS |
---|---|---|---|---|
Stephen Curry | PG | Mon, Apr 11 | Foot | Game Time Decision |
Andrew Wiggins | SF | Mon, Apr 11 | Back | Game Time Decision |
James Wiseman | C | Sat, Mar 26 | Knee | Out for the season |
Nuggets:
PLAYER | POSITION | UPDATED | INJURY | INJURY STATUS |
---|---|---|---|---|
Michael Porter Jr. | SF | Sat, Apr 9 | Back | Expected to be out until at least Jul 1 |
Jamal Murray | PG | Sat, Apr 9 | Knee | Expected to be out until at least Jul 1 |
Jokic will be the key for the Nuggets in this playoff series, just like he has been throughout the season, and we can see him putting monster numbers in this series, as the Warriors lack the size to guard him.
This is a redemption season for Klay, as he has missed 2 years of his career due to injuries, and he will be eager to make an impact in the playoffs from the starting itself.
The Warriors will be the favorites to win this game, as they are at home and there is a strong possibility that Stephen Curry will also be playing, which will be a huge boost for them.
