Stephen A. Smith is known to give some hot takes whenever he sits in a studio. This time it is the Milwaukee Bucks who was on the receiving end of his bold prediction as the veteran sports media personality left the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led side from his Top 4 Eastern Conference teams.
With the Greek Freak out himself, due to an injury, Stephen A. Smith doesn’t think that the Milwaukee Bucks can hold onto their top spot in the EC standings. To bring everyone on the same page, the Bucks are currently third in the EC with a tally of 27-15, the same number of wins as the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers.
“This is gonna shock y’all. I see about four teams in the Eastern Conference, and one of them is not the Milwaukee Bucks,” Smith said on Friday on the latest episode of NBA Countdown. “I think about Brooklyn, I think about Boston, I think about Cleveland, I think about Philadelphia.”
Stephen A. Smith pointed out that the reason he has left out Milwaukee Bucks is that other teams (which he mentioned) are elevating their plays and starting to change gears but the 2021 NBA Champions are getting even more vulnerable as we speak.
“We’re only talking about in the moment right now, I don’t expect that to last, cause Giannis Antetokounmpo is that dude,” Stephen A. Smith sees something lacking with the Bucks right now that he sees with the other aforementioned four teams. “There’s something missing. And obviously, Middleton is a key factor in all of that because you anticipate him being healthy. Once he’s healthy, boom, everything could explode. That hasn’t been the case.”
While Giannis is trying to bounce his way back for the side, Khris Middleton has sat out for 13 games now.
