Slovenian Guard Goran Dragic joins the Brooklyn Nets

Published by

Slovenian Guard Goran Dragic will be teaming up with KD, Kyrie and Simmons

Goran Dragic who was with the Toronto Raptors this season before getting traded to the San Antonio Spurs is signing with the Brooklyn Nets.

Dragic was bought out by the San Antonio Spurs which made him a free agent and was able to sign up with any team that he wanted.

Goran was a prolific player at the Miami Heat for many seasons prior to this one. He still is a good player and can add value to any team he plays for.

The Slovenian will join a new-look backcourt in Brooklyn led by former Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving. He also has ties to head coach Steve Nash, as the two were teammates with the Phoenix Suns from 2008-2011.

Goran Dragic will be finally playing properly this season as his time with the Toronto Raptors was not good and he wanted out from there as soon as he got there.

The Brooklyn Nets who have been missing their star players throughout the season have struggled a lot recently before the James Harden trade got announced.

James Harden was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers for Seth Curry, Ben Simmons, and Andre Drummond. These three additions along with the inclusion of Goran Dragic have really boosted the chances of the Brooklyn Nets.

These players will bring depth and quality to help the Brooklyn Nets if Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving is/are unavailable to play.

Brooklyn currently sits eighth in the Eastern Conference at 31-28 and will be hoping to turn things around after the season resumes.
