When the name Grayson Allen pops up, fans start thinking about the players in the opposition and who can potentially be suffering an injury. That has been the identity of the former Duke star. But this time the tables have turned. Jokes apart, the Milwaukee Bucks star had to be pulled out of the team’s recent game against the Atlanta Hawks due to a right ankle sprain.
Allen was seeming to be in fine form against the Hawks and in just 13 minutes of game time, Grayson had scored 6 points on 3-for-4 shooting. He also had 2 rebounds and the same number of assists registered against his name.
There is no doubt that Allen’s absence will give more freedom to the shooters on the Atlanta side to take their chances. Moreover, stars like Dejounte Murray and Bogdan Bogdanovic can even exploit the Bucks by shooting from distance. As a result of which, it seems right that the 2021 NBA Champions are giving more minutes to the likes of Jrue Holiday, Joe Ingles, and MarJon Beauchamp against the Hawks.
Grayson Allen Injury: How will the Bucks cope without their defensive juggernaut?
The seriousness of Grayson Allen’s injury is yet to be known as the game is still underway. What’s even worse for the Milwaukee Bucks – Giannis Antetokounmpo, too hasn’t looked to be at his scoring best so far in this game. But Jrue Holiday, on the other hand, has looked decent and is even currently leading the scoring tally in the game.
That being said, the Milwaukee Bucks also still have Jevon Carter and Pat Connaughton to help cover the void temporarily left by Grayson Allen in the team’s backcourt.
