Dwayne Wade is unarguably one of the most prized people in the NBA for LeBron James. In an era where he was always compared to the legend of Michael Jordan, Dwayne was one player who managed to support LeBron throughout their stint together in Miami Heat.
So now as the 2023 Hall of Famer nominee list was being announced, Bron could not help himself but pore love out at his former teammate and forever brother – Dwayne Wade. Safe to say, with their third-member of the Big 3, Chris Bosh already in the NBA HOF, it was only a matter of time when Wade too gets the same recognition.
LeBron James didn’t simply emphasize his love and appreciation for Dwayne Wade. But he sarcastically took shots at him being named as a nominee when he was a sure-shot member of the league’s most prized players of all-time.
The 37-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star wrote in his tweet, “Congrats to my brother @DwyaneWade on being on the eligible candidate HOF list!! I mean he ain’t no candidate, he’s IN!!!!! Hahaha!”
The mentioned Hall of Famer ceremony is going to take place in August next year (2023). That being said, the 3-time NBA Champion was drafted by Miami heat themselves in 2003 (Same draft class as Bron). Wade is also Heat’s all-time leader in points, minutes played, games played, assists and steals. The 40-year-old also won Finals MVP in 2006.
Justifying just why it was about time that he was included in the legendary list of NBA Hall of Famers.
