Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, responded to remarks made by LeBron James, the forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, after James criticized the media for not questioning him about a picture of Jones looking over a group of white students who were attempting to prevent Black students from attending North Little Rock High in Arkansas in 1957. This act of praising LeBron by Jones justifies the fact that Jerry Jones and LeBron James have a unique affinity between them.
James mentioned that he had received inquiries from the media concerning Irving after Kyrie Irving was penalised for sharing a link to an antisemitic documentary on social media.

Jones was questioned about James’ remarks on Friday on 105.3 The Fan after claiming to be only a spectator in the 1957 crowd.
James, a lifetime supporter of the Cowboys, recently said that he no longer backs the club in light of how the NFL handled players’ protests of racial injustice and police brutality in the country by kneeling during the playing of the national anthem.
Since the controversy Jerry Jones LeBron James has been in the talks of town. Jones, though, persisted in praising James despite that attitude. “He would’ve made a great tight end. That doesn’t change. There’s nothing about any of that that changes,” Jerry Jones pointed out. “Certainly, he has influence, and just because of all of the above. His accomplishments, how he’s utilized his sport and how he’s utilized his platform. How we have done it. He has enhanced basketball, he’s made a lot of people a lot of money. I hope I have too.”
