Shannon Sharpe doesn’t believe that Kevin Durant wants to play with LeBron James for the Los Angeles Lakers.
There had been many trade ideas going around the world after Kevin Durant handed in a trade request to the Brooklyn Nets. One trade that surfaced was the Los Angeles Lakers swapping AD and Westbrook for KD and Kyrie.
This would make the Lakers the clear-cut favorites to win it all, but it doesn’t make sense for the Nets to do it. If the Nets trade their players, they will undoubtedly receive much better assets.
Shannon Sharpe on Undisputed also talked about this trade idea, and he believes that it won’t happen. Moreover, he said that Kevin Durant wouldn’t want to play with LeBron James.
Shannon said, “I don’t believe KD wants to play with LeBron James um that would seem so unfair um LeBron KD and Kyrie on the same team no um would it be a fair trade? No because Kevin Durant is better than AD and Russell and Kyrie is better than Russ. There’s no way in hell the Nets would make this trade straight up zero chance zero zero zero it’s not happening.”
Trade discussions around Kevin Durant have slowed down
The whole NBA universe trembled when Kevin Durant gave the Brooklyn Nets his trade request. Despite the fact that other clubs are interested in KD, they haven’t yet been able to put together a package to get him.
Durant is expected to end up with the Miami Heat or Phoenix Suns, but given how things are going, it appears that he may begin the season with the Brooklyn Nets.
Similar circumstances surround Kyrie Irving, as the Nets are dissatisfied with the compensation they are receiving from the Lakers in exchange for him. As a result, both deals are currently in limbo.
