Los Angeles Lakers know exactly the additions required to be made for them to reach the postseason with LeBron James firing at all cylinders. Being in the middle of the Western Conference pact with a 21-25 record, the Purple and Gold could really cause havoc in the league if they fill their voids in time.
This is just when NBA guru Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has come to the part to reveal the exact plan of the Lakers as we approach the trade deadline. As per Adria, Darvin Ham’s team will not chase any big stars to add to their side but will surely be able to ‘work around the edges.’
Woj said, “I don’t think there are any big, big deals for the Lakers out there, but I do think they’re going to be active around the edges to try to improve this team as they try to get into the postseason with LeBron James and Anthony Davis’ return.”
Who can the Lakers add alongside LeBron James?
So, who can be the ideal target for Darvin Ham’s side? Woj identified Bojan Bogdanovic of the Detroit Pistons as a potential target for the 17-time Champions. The sharpshooting veteran has long been linked to a move to LA Lakers, but as Wojnarowski points out, there are a handful of teams that have also shown interest in Bogdanovic.
The renowned reporter also adds that the price could be too “significant” for the Lakers, thereby pretty much ruling out a move to Hollywood for the 33-year-old, especially when they know that Bogdanovic is probably in his career-best form and can be instrumental in turning their shooting voids from beyond the arc.
