Kyrie Irving has been in exceptional form with the Brooklyn Nets this season. Distancing himself from all controversies, this point guard was able to secure his sixth All-Star honor in the 2022-23 season after impressively leading his team in Kevin Durant’s absence.

Brooklyn Nets was the only team in both conferences combined that had two of their players in the starting lineup. For those unaware, Irving was voted in by the fans as one of the top 2 vote-getters among EC guards.

“I’m just grateful for the people at home,” the 2016 NBA Champion said, via Nets beat reporter Erik Slater of ClutchPoints. “I would not be here without y’all. Y’all voted me in, and I’m ready to give y’all a show.”

Given that Irving was upset as the Nets lost to an unpredictable Detroit Pistons on Thursday, the marquee scorer still thanked his fans for voting him as an All-Star. Being one of the most controversial modern-day NBA players, Irving would be happy to see this sight.

Kyrie also made a promise to repay the fans’ trust by putting on the best show he can come at the 2023 All-Star Game. Hopefully, he can deliver, and who knows alongside which set of players might we witness Irving dominating the star-studded game.
