The former NBA big man was named a honorary US Deputy Marshall in 2005, a reserve deputy by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana in 2020 and served as an honorary deputy in both Bedford County, Virginia and Maricopa County, Arizona for a period. Shaq was more recently named the Director of Community Relations at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office in 2021.
