Is Shaquille O’Neal interested in buying the Phoenix side?
From being picked up as the No.1 draft in the in 1992 to win everything a professional basketball could wish in his career, Shaq has made his way long into the NBA history.
Shaq has represented six different franchises in his NBA career including the Phoenix suns with whom recent news about him popped out, interested in buying some shares of his 2008-09 NBA season team. No doubt with his gameplay, he has attracted some big endorsements towards him, moreover; he is often regarded as one of the greatest centers in the NBA, with 4 NBA Championship by his name O’Neal’s net worth is calculated to be around $400 million.
After a few months of NBA investigation, Robert Sarver who carries the most numbers of Phoenix’s shares was found involved in a multiple number of misconducts, following this he put his ownership shares of Suns and the WNBA side Phoenix Mercury for sale.
Shaquille’s Comments On the Rumours
Not only this NBA legend but also many wealthy faces are expected to bid Sun’s side’s share and a major name arriving in front is Amazon boss Jeff Bezos, Shaq shared his thought mentioning about him on Saturday night on TMZ Sports.
“I was interested but when big man JB said he was interested – no one compete with big man JB. Imma tell ya now, once Jeff Bezos put his name in his hat, all you other just close your checkbook and go home.” Furthermore, he added ” Nobody on this planet can compete with big man JB. I am not gonna be up in there trying to go up against big man Jb”
Bezos has not yet stated about him buying the Phoenix shares, however he could be seen speculating as spending some on Suns side would be a fraction for him.
